Unfortunately, the solution didn't seem to work. piuparts still failed
with the latest version[1]. This is presumably because the environment
under which piuparts has installed the package, systemd was not detected
and the changes were still made to the configuration file.
We could either drop the changes for non-systemd systems entirely or
patch the init.d file to pickup a newly environmental file dropped in by
zeroconf.

My apologies for an incomplete solution earlier. I have proposed a
different solution that works for machines with systemd and without[1].
I would appreciate a review, merge and release with the new fix.
