Good day (damn spam, I deleted your email by mistake so I'm replying 'cause
I looked at the bug repository on the main site),
When I installed the package there wasn't mysql-server neither mysql-client
so the installation complaint about this missing packages.
Could you please paste that complaint?
no, I have installed the box yesterday and I can't log to the server anymore
(I have not access to it anymore). But the configuration process complaint
that mysql-client was not installed so I installed it and then I installed
the mysql-server too. I suppose that it's correct that mysql-server is not
required 'cause it can access to a remote server, but the mysql-client
should be a required dependencie.

I reproduced this issue when installing nagios-mysql without
mysql-client installed. Here's a part of the log:
Creating config file /etc/nagios/database.cfg with new version
sanity check failed for mysql.
error encountered creating user:
No mysql client to execute. (have you installed mysql-client?
dbconfig-common: nagios-mysql configure: aborted.
dbconfig-common: flushing administrative password
dpkg : erreur de traitement de nagios-mysql (--configure) :
le sous-processus post-installation script a retourné une erreur de
sortie d'état 1
Des erreurs ont été rencontrées pendant l'exécution :
nagios-mysql
nagios-mysql fails to install due to this:
iF nagios-mysql 1.4-1
This seems to only happen when choosing
nagios-mysql/dbconfig-install: true
and
nagios-mysql/install-error: abort
This is unlikely a grave bug, but it would seem a good idea, if
nothing else, to default to install-error: ignore.
