--- Begin Message ---Source: xdemorse Version: 3.6.4-1 X-Debbugs-CC: debian...@lists.debian.org, mo...@debian.org Severity: serious User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: regression Dear maintainer(s), With a recent upload of xdemorse the autopkgtest of xdemorse fails in testing when that autopkgtest is run with the binary packages of xdemorse from unstable. It passes when run with only packages from testing. In tabular form: pass fail xdemorse from testing 3.6.4-1 all others from testing from testing I copied some of the output at the bottom of this report. Looking at the actual test, I wonder how useful it is. There was a discussion somewhere recently about xvfb and maybe also about ending with "&", but I forgot the details. It may be that the test can't fail (apart from output to stderr, which is exactly what's happening here). Currently this regression is blocking the migration to testing [1]. Can you please investigate the situation and fix it? I think dropping the test until something more sensible comes up makes sense. At the very least, it also needs to be tagged as superficial, as documented in the release policy [2] More information about this bug and the reason for filing it can be found on https://wiki.debian.org/ContinuousIntegration/RegressionEmailInformation Paul [1] https://qa.debian.org/excuses.php?package=xdemorse [2] https://release.debian.org/testing/rc_policy.txt section 6(a) https://ci.debian.net/data/autopkgtest/testing/amd64/x/xdemorse/15038359/log.gz autopkgtest [01:17:04]: test command1: xvfb-run -a xdemorse -v autopkgtest [01:17:04]: test command1: [----------------------- (xdemorse:3992): dbind-WARNING **: 01:17:04.875: AT-SPI: Error retrieving accessibility bus address: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.a11y.Bus was not provided by any .service files xdemorse 3.6.4 autopkgtest [01:17:05]: test command1: -----------------------]
