Hi Stefan, Thanks for taking the time to build this packages and for reporting the issue you found. As I said in the GitHub issue, this is a long standing and known problem that was deemed low priority because it had an easy workaround.
But it is true that there is no indication that this is the case in the tool itself, or how to solve the issue, leaving users, rightfully, with the impression that the tool is completely broken. So I just submitted a PR fixing this and updating the documentation to also reflect the changes in GitHub API's policy and authentication methods. https://github.com/sociomantic-tsunami/git-hub/pull/289 I will make a 2.0.3 release as soon as this is merged!
