@Bernhard:

Sadly didn't find anything by the time I checked. I had to poweroff due to my
country going through a(nother) of its series of planned power outages.

Inkscape played up today again...

* Thunar did not crash this time, however the other day an instance did close
without my noticing (it was on another workspace). Inkscape was not running
and as such I thought it trivial since I've had this happen since I began using
XFCE4 as a full DE and plenty bugs have been reported in various channels.
* This crash was unique. Inkscape froze first. I killed it and then I installed the
systemd-coredump package and rebooted to get a clean environment.

After logging in and starting X, I intentionally opened Inkscape to reproduce
the crash or freeze. It worked, Inkscape crashed as above. Thunar did not crash
though. I do apologise for not being able to get info on the freeze. Sadly, I
thought the bug was fixed after smooth operation for ages (yep, _assumption_,
totally on me).
* I've changed my hardware since. My video card died and I was forced to use an
old RX460 from my previous build. Maybe this relates to the freeze. It does
seem in the same working condition it was though. Still, video cards can be very
old RX460 from my previous build. Maybe this relates to the freeze. It does
seem in the same working condition it was though. Still, video cards can be very
asymptomatic on the surface while wreaking havoc in the background and
I would assume Inkscape takes advantage of the GPU for calculations so that
may be an explanation (at least for the freeze).
