The zapping package still calls gconftool by hand to register schema
files, and still keeps the schemas in /etc/gconf/schemas. This is a FHS
violation which is fixed by using dh_gconf; this means calling dh_gconf
in the rules file, build-depending on debhelper 4.9.8.1, and adding
${misc:Depends} to the dependencies.Furthermore, these schemas are not uninstalled in the prerm script. This means the cruft is left /etc. A rule has to be added to uninstall them nevertheless in the new version. -- .''`.
