Hi Mechthilde,
it looks like the current tbsync in buster is not directly
usable anymore, after thunderbird has been upgraded from 60.x to
68.x. I assume, that just using a newer version in stable might
work, but I didn't try yet.
First, I just downgraded thunderbird, lightning, and enigmail
to their original buster versions:
thunderbird 60.9.0-1~deb10u1
lightning 60.9.0-1~deb10u1
enigmail 2.0.12+ds1-1~deb10u1
This works and might be a good workaround for most users.
Second, I did an adhoc, local backport of tbsync. This works
with the latest thunderbird in buster, as expected.
Cheers & stay healthy!
