Package: python3-pysnmp4-mibs Version: 0.1.3-2.1 Severity: serious User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: piuparts
Hi, during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from 'buster'. It installed fine in 'buster', then the upgrade to 'bullseye' fails because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a Breaks+Replaces relation. See policy 7.6 at https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#overwriting-files-and-replacing-packages-replaces >From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...): Preparing to unpack .../python3-pysnmp4-mibs_0.1.3-2.1_all.deb ... Unpacking python3-pysnmp4-mibs (0.1.3-2.1) ... dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/python3-pysnmp4-mibs_0.1.3-2.1_all.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/rebuild-pysnmp-mibs', which is also in package python-pysnmp4-mibs 0.1.3-1 dpkg-deb: error: paste subprocess was killed by signal (Broken pipe) Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/python3-pysnmp4-mibs_0.1.3-2.1_all.deb Since python-pysnmp4-mibs is gone from sid, the B+R can be unversioned. cheers, Andreas
