I now found out that the change that affects ariba was done in fermi-lite
0.1-8 and reverted this very change in 0.1-10. This might affect portability
but I think its a sensible tradeof to make sure we get ariba working again
on the important architectures.
So in principle we could close bug #951944 and give the package back for
rebuilding. However, this does not help much for testing migration ...

... since the autopkgtest remains broken. So we could rather try to
approach a new upload with fixed test which would trigger a new (now
hopefully successful test.) I do not really have any clue how to fix
the test issue but I'm experimenting with some higher verbosity
currently.
