Package: grdesktop Version: 0.23+d040330-3.1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? using grdesktop to connect to another host on Debian Buster * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? grdesktop enter a Computer hostname click Execute * What was the outcome of this action? A warning message with the usage of rdesktop * What outcome did you expect instead? open a rdesktop session to the named host Apparently rdesktop is called with option "-k" without required argument if no keyboard layout is selected explicitely. Maybe both grdesktop and rdesktop should be removed from Debian in favor of xfreerdp and another GUI. -- System Information: Debian Release: 10.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.19.0-6-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages grdesktop depends on: ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.30.1-2 ii libatk1.0-0 2.30.0-2 ii libc6 2.28-10 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-4 ii libfontconfig1 2.13.1-2 ii libfreetype6 2.9.1-3+deb10u1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.38.1+dfsg-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.58.3-2+deb10u2 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.32-3 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.42.4-7~deb10u1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.42.4-7~deb10u1 ii libpangoft2-1.0-0 1.42.4-7~deb10u1 ii rdesktop 1.8.6-2 Versions of packages grdesktop recommends: ii gconf2 3.2.6-5 grdesktop suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
