Dear Maintainer, I could not found the source of file texmf-dist/scripts/pax.jar I have recreated a github solving also the problem of using an old pdfbox source https://github.com/bastien-roucaries/latex-pax The javapath are not fixed but the pax could by using java -cp /usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/scripts/pax/pax.jar:/usr/share/java/pdfbox.jar:/usr/share/java/commons-logging.jar pax.PDFAnnotExtractor file.pdf I will in the next week do an audit of all file not rebuilded from source and I think this package is unsuitable from main Bastien
