Package: nvidia-kernel-source_1.0.8756-4_i386
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
After upgrading to 2.6.16 kernel, this package no longer works.
It produces an nvidia.o file instead of an nvidia.ko file needed by
newer kernels.
workaround: run nvidia's installer, but then apt-get won't know about
dependencies.

Hi,
I'm closing this bug as there's not enough information to reproduce.
Note that there are prebuilt nvidia modules for 2.6.16 known to work in
the archive, so this bug obviously wouldn't be of grave severity if it
was valid.
If you reopen or open a new bug, please submit basic information such as
how you produce the file, a log of the operation, the filename of the
generated package and modinfo's output for the module.
Please use reportbug to report bugs in the future. This report does not
have proper version information and was initially assigned to a
non-existant package until Martin Michlmayr's intervention.
