[X-Debbugs-CC: debian...@lists.debian.org, python3-defau...@packages.debian.org] Dear maintainers, With a recent upload of python3-defaults the autopkgtest of dh-python fails in testing when that autopkgtest is run with the binary packages of python3-defaults from unstable. It passes when run with only packages from testing. In tabular form: pass fail python3-defaults from testing 3.7.5-3 dh-python from testing 4.20191017 all others from testing from testing I copied some of the output at the bottom of this report. It seems that the autopkgtests of dh-python don't depend on itself when running the tests against the (not) installed package. You'll know better than I do why the Python packages stopped depending on dh-python. Currently this regression is blocking the migration of python3-defaults to testing [1], although we will ignore this failure for this migration.
