By default, cacti is logging to /usr/share/cacti/site/log/cacti.log, I suggest it be moved to /var/log/cacti/cacti.log; the RRD files are being written in /usr/share/cacti/site/rra, I suggest it be moved to /var/lib/cacti/rra .
