Hi,
please port pidgin-libnotify from libindicate to libmessaging-menu.
The src:package ayatana-indicator-messages (which ships
libmessaging-menu) is currently in Debian's NEW queue and should soon
be available in Debian unstable.
The libindicate shared lib is about to be removed and libindicate is
non-functional in Debian these days.
Thanks,
Mike
