Package: grisbi
Version: 1.2.1-1
Dear Ludovic,
I've just recently switched from stable to testing. Since this
transition Grisbi 1.2.1-1 now crashes every time when trying to create
a new transaction on my existing accounting file, preventing from
making any modifications. This regression is making Grisbi totally
unusable, whereas it has been rock solid for many years until now.
Hopefully, this is an already known issue that has been fixed upstream it seems:
https://github.com/grisbi/grisbi/commit/8545c825d8b9e36ae1eee5bccf93af15b12c7024
and this fix is available in version 1.2.2-1 already uploaded into
unstable. Switching to this slightly newer version has fixed the above
issue in my case.
I don't want to define a severity level by myself as I'm not familiar
enough with the Debian rules, but it would seem to match a "grave"
level upon a quick reading, at least for users impacted by this issue.
Due to the current freeze though, version 1.2.2-1 is not migrating
into testing while version 1.2.1-1 could introduce this same issue to
many more users, if the problem is widespread. Could you contact
debian-release to ask for the version currently in unstable to reach
testing as it is fixing this issue?
Thanks a lot for your hard work on Grisbi, this is a great software!
Jérôme
