Package: frontaccounting
Version: 2.2.10-3.1
Severity: serious
Justification: fails to install
Package fails to install interactively if you do not skip database creation.
This combined with the previously reported bug that the package fails to
install non-interactively (which for some bizarre reason was marked 'wishlist')
means this package should never have made wheezy as-is.
The error that occurs is:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/frontaccounting.postinst: 1: eval: Syntax error:
Unterminated quoted string
dpkg: error processing frontaccounting (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:
frontaccounting
and occurs if you do not skip database creation. In addition, if you correct
the error in postinst that leads to this error (use of $(eval $msysqlcmd ...
instead of eval $mysqlcmd ...), and even if you don't, you still get the
following error:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/frontaccounting.postinst: 132:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/frontaccounting.postinst: cannot open
/usr/share/frontaccounting/config_db.php.template: No such file
dpkg: error processing frontaccounting (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:
frontaccounting
In other words the package is missing a file required for postinst to complete.

Hi,
frontaccounting was last released with Debian 7.0 (wheezy), which had
its LTS support end nearly a year ago and which has now been archived.
The package was removed from unstable in 2016, see
https://bugs.debian.org/812305 for details on this removal.
I'm therefore closing the remaining frontaccounting bugs.
Andreas
