Sorry to be a killjoy, but are you sure a new version is needed to solve this problem? We are very close to the freeze, and way too many packages depend on this. I am working now with other breakage coming from genproto, so maybe this can be fixed in a different -and less risky- way. -- Martín Ferrari (Tincho)
