To me two executables with the same name and the same cli options == one of those rare cases where dpkg-alternative fits. I don't see how it could be good to rename the executable of any of the two packages. If you stay on your position the javascript version should just drop the executable and distribute only as a node module. still, imo both packages should use the same upstream. Jérémy
