Package: webext-privacy-badger Version: 2018.12.5-1 Severity: grave
Similar to Debian bug #916431 in ublock-origin, symlinks to jquery and underscore libraries are not followed by Firefox or they are silently ignored. I used the internal addon debugging mode of Firefox and those Javascript libraries are not loaded anymore. Perhaps this is some kind of sandbox feature? It used to work in Firefox ESR, so I can rule out that Debian's system libraries are to blame here. This issue makes webext-privacy-badger unusable at the moment. I revert back to the embedded versions of jquery and underscore because in theory we could simply replace them with the Debian versions but this would be impractical and also defeat the purpose of depending on system libraries in the first place. It would be good if there was a way to make Firefox recognize symlinks to system files again.
