It is your responsibility to make the dir available. Whether you provide it in 
your package or as something in the Depends: is not importaint.

If you need it present, you should make sure it is there.

There has been tagged a new version of libxcursor which might be the relevant 
package in xorg to depend on.

Thank you for your work so far - I plan to copy it for comixcursors this 
weekend ;)
