Hi
I tried to work on this during the BSP in Bern. While I think that compatibility with QEMU 1.3 and older is no longer needed in Debian I failed to compile the package with CONFIG_ACPI_DSDT turned off. To me it looks like this is rather a runtime than a compile time option and the hex tables are still compiled into the binary even if this is turned off. As I don't understand enough of the reasons why this is not a compile time option, I'll give up for now and leave this to someone else.
