Not sure what you consider odd with that setup. All my multi-card card-readers appear as /dev/sd<x> with one letter <x> for each slot (usually CF, SD, MicroSD and some proprietary Sony medium formats). The card reader in question is a USB 3 one, sitting in a 3.5" slot originally meant for a 3.5" floppy drive: https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/product/delock-91493-usb-30-cardreader-35-4-pin-molex-card-readers-5837471 > I was recently updating my own virtual multipath san setup to the > latest (0.7.7-3) and did not face any issues. JFTR: I didn't setup anything explicitly as multipath. multipath-tools were pulled in as indirect dependency of libblockdev-plugins-all via libblockdev-mpath2 and something seems to have called that binary automatically. I actually have no idea what of my setup (workstation with two RAID1: 2x SSD + 2x HDD; plus card reader and CD/DVD/BR drive) could be "multipath" at all nor if my vague idea of "multipath" (like accessing the same iSCSI block device over two different IP addresses) is even correct. I first thought the call might have come from udisks2 or so, but I purged that about two months before the issue happened. > I will try to spare some time for this bug but meanwhile if you have > any additional input/updates, please do update this bug report. So far I didn't noticed any new crashes and there were at least no new crashes in the past week. Then again, I didn't use the card reader since then again. Will check if it is reproducible the next time I work with SD cards on that system.
