Hi Holger, Quoting Holger Levsen (2018-10-21 12:13:11) > thanks for uploading monero 0.13.0.3-1! However you didn't seem to address > #910517 "monero: FTBFS on i386: compiler runs our of memory" (which > has a patch) so I believe monero will still FTBFS on i386 and thus not > migrate to testing.
Ohh, I totally missed that patch - sorry, Adrian! Weird: When I do "querybts monero" this bugreport doesn't appear. Oh well - it seems my own little research and attempt at a patch succeeded - the i386 build has succeeded now! I stumbled upon a web page mentioning that memory consumption would blow up if any of the source files contained non-UTF8 characters, and indeed one file had some mysterious characters in a comment - seemingly em-dash in 8859-1 wrongly converted to UTF-8. Suggestions for where to mention that trick in the Debian wiki much appreciated. - Jonas -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist & Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private
