That may be true of the basic usage of the tool. However, I just stumbled on this package through the "sem" tool (aka. "parallel --semaphore", which seems by far the most compelling tool to prevent parallel execution of particular make rules (eg. some launching git commands that require acquiring the same lock). (that said, the fact the package cannot be installed alongside moreutils is another blocker ;)
