The new 3.30.0 upstream release has been (mostly) perpared in git which should fix this issue. It is however blocked by needing a couple of new components packaged first (as the new version depends on these): https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gtk-frdp libovf-glib (Posting this mostly as a status update to the bug report.
