Package: alsa-base Version: 1.0.10-3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
Since kernel 2.6.16, i heard no sound. It seems to be a bug of alsa-base. But all modules load correctly. I just heard no sound (and my hp are connected ;)) If I boot under kernel 2.6.14 the sound work. -- Package-specific info: --- Begin additional package status --- Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed |/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err: uppercase=bad) ||/ Name Version Description +++-=================================-=================================-================================================================================== ii libasound2 1.0.10-2 ALSA library --- End additional package status --- --- Begin /proc/asound/version --- Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.11rc2 (Wed Jan 04 08:57:20 2006 UTC). --- End /proc/asound/version --- --- Begin /proc/asound/cards --- 0 [Intel ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel HDA Intel at 0xefffc000 irq 169 --- End /proc/asound/cards --- --- Begin /dev/snd/ listing --- total 0 crw-rw---- 1 root audio 116, 0 Apr 13 2006 controlC0 crw-rw---- 1 root audio 116, 24 Apr 13 2006 pcmC0D0c crw-rw---- 1 root audio 116, 16 Apr 13 2006 pcmC0D0p crw-rw---- 1 root audio 116, 33 Apr 13 2006 timer --- End /dev/snd/ listing --- -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages alsa-base depends on: ii linux-sound-base 1.0.10-3 base package for ALSA and OSS soun ii lsof 4.76.dfsg.1-1 List open files. ii module-init-tools 3.2.2-2 tools for managing Linux kernel mo ii modutils 2.4.27.0-5 Linux module utilities Versions of packages alsa-base recommends: ii alsa-utils 1.0.10-1 ALSA utilities Versions of packages libasound2 depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
