Dear Qt maintainers, I spoke too soon, it turns out; I tried anki on another machine and it didn't give this error, yet it still bombed out. So it seems that this is not the cause of the anki bug. The message is still occurring, though, but it seems as if it's probably mostly harmless. Still got no idea about the cause of the anki bug, mind you! Best wishes, Julian
