Hi! As said on IRC: 22:16 < bunk> elbrus: Are you sure patches like for #899582 are a good idea? It would be fine if Q_ would do something like that, but when no team member did an upload to fix this (or asked to have the list restored) in 2.5 months that will only hide a problem. 22:16 -zwiebelbot:#debian-devel- Debian#899582: libmad: Invalid maintainer address pkg-mad-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org - https://bugs.debian.org/899582 22:18 < jcristau> i think i'd set it to packages@qa instead :)
A big upside of this kind of bugs is revealing unmaintained packages. I see no benefit for such a NMU: the package is in the key set, thus doesn't even suffer from autoremovals. We really want a maintainer upload to prove this package sees at least occasional maintenance. If it doesn't, then, as jcristau said, it should be orphaned eventually -- but there's no hurry in doing the latter. One of the bug parties before Buster freeze would be a good time.
