Package: asterisk-classic Version: 1:1.2.4.dfsg-7 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
On a fresh install of asterisk, the install fails. This is because it tries to start asterisk after installing, but /etc/default/asterisk is set up to *not* start asterisk. This makes the whole install fail. Simply changing /etc/default/asterisk to read RUNASTERISK=yes and then reinstalling fixed this, but of course that's not really what would need to be done to fix it! On a fresh install (not necessarily an upgrade) asterisk shouldn't try to start asterisk, since it won't work anyway. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-k7 Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_CA.UTF-8) Versions of packages asterisk-classic depends on: ii adduser 3.85 Add and remove users and groups ii asterisk-conf 1:1.2.4.dfsg-7 config files for asterisk ii asterisk-soun 1:1.2.4.dfsg-7 sound files for asterisk ii libasound2 1.0.10-2 ALSA library ii libc6 2.3.6-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcomerr2 1.38+1.39-WIP-2005.12.31-1 common error description library ii libcurl3 7.15.3-1 Multi-protocol file transfer libra ii libgsm1 1.0.10-13 Shared libraries for GSM speech co ii libidn11 0.5.18-2 GNU libidn library, implementation ii libkrb53 1.4.3-6 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libncurses5 5.5-1 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libnewt0.52 0.52.2-2 Not Erik's Windowing Toolkit - tex ii libpopt0 1.7-5 lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libpq4 8.1.3-2 PostgreSQL C client library ii libpri1.2 1.2.2-2 Primary Rate ISDN specification li ii libspeex1 1.1.12-1 The Speex Speech Codec ii libsqlite0 2.8.16-1 SQLite shared library ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8a-8 SSL shared libraries ii unixodbc 2.2.11-11 ODBC tools libraries ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-11 compression library - runtime asterisk-classic recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
