I'm seeing the same issue with the latest sid version 64.0.3282.11 and by accident found a way to create the problem repeatably. I had my chromium started but not used at all when I upgraded my wlan router's firmware (from Firefox). During reboot of said router chromium crashed and didn't start again until I ran it once with disabled extensions. After that all was well, until I reboot the router again, which brought the problem up again. I don't see any extension on my system that needs the wlan, except of course for internet access.
