Package: roundcube
Version: 1.2.3+dfsg.1-4+deb9u1
Severity: grave
Tags: upstream
Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer,
It appears that changes made to the cached message folder(s) in roundcube are
not written back to the server. Messages moved from the inbox reappear in the
inbox, messages marked as read are seen as new by other email clients (xmail,
alpine).
While mail can be read in roundcube, it can not be managed.
Documentation is extremely limited and the lack of a configuration management
dashboard makes the program difficult to administer.
Upstream resources show the program to be in a state of continual development,
with no actual production releases suitible to end-users.
Please consider removing this package from stable Debian.

The problem is that the default install of dovecot does not allow it to
write lockfiles to /var/mail, which means it can't alter the inbox.
I should probably report this as a dovecot install bug.
