Hi Manoj. As i wrote in the original bug report, this bug is raised not only by gconf2-common, but also by other packages. the bug appeared the first time after an ucf upgrade, upgrading gconf2-common, but after that also libpaper1 and foomatic-filters showned the postinst errors also note that commenting out from the postinst script the line that call ucf, completly remove the errors also note that in gcon2-common.postinst there are only the following two rows: ---- set -e ucf /usr/share/gconf/default.path /etc/gconf/2/path ---- many thanks Max ---------- LANG=C apt-get -f install Reading package lists...
