It works with pmx (gfortran) and fails with pmx (g77).

1. Switch back to g77 for now
2. Talk to gfortran upstream to get this fixed.  Ah, good news, it
works when I compile pmx with gfortran-4.1.

So the solution is really easy: go back to g77 now and switch to
gfortran-4.1 when we have GCC 4.1 in unstable.
