Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package can cause problems.

If auto-apt-proxy is removed (but not purged) from stretch,
/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/auto-apt-proxy.conf is left behind.

Any further apt operation accessing the network will fail:

# apt-get update
Ign:1 http://security.debian.org stretch/updates InRelease
Ign:2 http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch InRelease
Err:3 http://security.debian.org stretch/updates Release
Sub-process ProxyAutoDetect returned an error code (100)
Ign:4 http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch-updates InRelease
Err:5 http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch Release

Err:6 http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch-updates Release
Sub-process ProxyAutoDetect returned an error code (100)
