Symbol addition must not break any software. > expects the compat stuff to be present. The LuaJit 5.1 was released in 2006. That's a plenty of time to start using correct API. However there are only four packages in Debian affected by the drop of compatibility symbols: - aegisub - #873327 - ettercap - #878131 (however the lua bindings are now disabled) - minetest - #878132 - wrk - #873321 Also as this is only #define removals, it affects only compilation and not runtime, so it's safe to migrate to testing, so I am just going to close the bug.
