More experiences with this problem: When I get the error, not possible to log in. Must poweroff using the power button, hold until stop.
If the CPU is not abnormally hot (usually will not be), then rebooting will usually proceed normally. Doing this reboot using a sysvinit bootup shows no relevant warnings or errors.
