Package: sagemath
Version: 8.0-5
Severity: important

Hi all,

Just in case you're not yet aware of this....

sagemath depends on python-rpy2. Unfortunately, the current version
of rpy2 in unstable now only builds a python3 version of the package,
as only python3 is supported upstream now. Therefore sagemath will
never migrate to testing in its current form, and will soon be
uninstallable in unstable too.

I don't know how easy it is to migrate to python3-rpy2, though.

Best wishes,

   Julian
