Hello,
I am currently waiting on Heimdal 0.7.2 to (hopefully) get into
testing first. It has security fixes.
Yes, I know this bug is marked release critical, but the fact is
Heimdal has been like this ever since it was first packaged, and this
is the first time somebody has raised the issue. I don't think a few
more weeks delay is that significant.
If you a asking because you are volunteering to help, then by all
means any help would be appreciated. I would expect there are two parts:
* modify existing patch under debian/patches (quilt system) to use new
paths as hard coded defaults. Also need to include this directory in
Debian package.
* modify maintainer scripts to move existing config files to new
locations.
The first part should be easy. Getting the second part right makes me
nervous.
