Package: asterisk-classic Version: 1:1.2.4.dfsg-6 Severity: critical Justification: breaks unrelated software
Having "asterisk" installed before, I now installed asterisk-classic. This creates /etc/logrotate.d/asterisk-classic, but leaves in place /etc/logrotate.d/asterisk. The combination of the two breaks logrotate for the whole system, because the two files reference the _same_ logfiles and that's a logrotate error condition. I suppose the cleanest solution is to have the asterisk dummy package remove the old config file? Ah no, if people remove asterisk and install asterisk-classic, it will still break. Hmm... Maybe we can rather move the /etc/logrotate.d/ file to an asterisk-common package or something like that. And call it /etc/logrotate.d/asterisk, really. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (200, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages asterisk-classic depends on: ii adduser 3.63 Add and remove users and groups ii asterisk-config 1:1.2.4.dfsg-6 config files for asterisk ii asterisk-sounds-main 1:1.2.4.dfsg-6 sound files for asterisk ii libasound2 1.0.10-2 ALSA library ii libc6 2.3.5-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcomerr2 1.37-2sarge1 common error description library ii libcurl3 7.15.1-1 Multi-protocol file transfer libra ii libgsm1 1.0.10-13 Shared libraries for GSM speech co ii libidn11 0.5.18-1 GNU libidn library, implementation ii libkrb53 1.4.3-5 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libncurses5 5.5-1 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libnewt0.51 0.51.6-20 Not Erik's Windowing Toolkit - tex ii libpopt0 1.7-5 lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libpq4 8.1.2-2 PostgreSQL C client library ii libpri1.2 1.2.2-2 Primary Rate ISDN specification li ii libspeex1 1.1.6-2 The Speex Speech Codec ii libsqlite0 2.8.16-1 SQLite shared library ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8a-7 SSL shared libraries ii unixodbc 2.2.11-9 ODBC tools libraries ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4.sarge.2 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
