Hi, Fyi, the original patch also breaks openjdk (SEGV from JNI_CreateJavaVM) when the VM is launched on the main thread (which is not the case for the normal java launcher, but embedded uses - e.g. browser plugin < https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1699772>, commons-daemon, ...).
Can confirm that the updated patch fixes the problem (amd64). regards Moritz
