Attached is an updated patch.

I have done porterbox test builds for the following architectures:

 * amd64
 * arm64
 * armel
 * armhf
 * i386
 * kfreebsd-amd64
 * kfreebsd-i386
 * mips
 * mips64el
 * mipsel
 * powerpc
 * ppc64
 * ppc64el
 * s390x
 * sparc64

The logs for these are available on people.debian.org[1].

I also performed builds for the following architectures either locally or on
non-porterbox machines:

 * alpha
 * hppa
 * hurd-i386
 * sh4 (qemu-user)
 * x32

There were no symbol warnings or errors for any of these builds.

Regards,
James
