Package: libgpod-nogtk-dev
Version: 0.8.3-8
Severity: serious
User: debian...@lists.debian.org
Usertags: piuparts

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install. As
per definition of the release team this makes the package too buggy for
a release, thus the severity.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  The following packages have unmet dependencies:
   libgpod-nogtk-dev : Depends: libgpod4-nogtk (= 0.8.3-8) but it is not going
to be installed
  E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

This was observed during a test on i386 with --install-recommends enabled.
I cannot reproduce it on amd64.

There is an unsatisfiable Recommends: libgpod-common in libgpod4-nogtk

Changes:
 libgpod (0.8.3-8.1) unstable; urgency=medium
 .
   * Non-maintainer upload.
   * Convert "no GTK" packages into transitional packages that depend on
     the full version. They were requested in #386715 to avoid a GTK
     dependency, but now the only thing they avoid is gdk-pixbuf, and
     there is no user of libgpod in Debian that does not already depend
     on gdk-pixbuf anyway. The extra complexity caused the binary packages
     to be non-reproducible, and sometimes made Recommends uninstallable.
     (Closes: 838116)
   * Add missing build-dependency on dh-python (for dh_python2)
