Just to be clear, I don't file bugs unless I can reproduce them myself on
my own machine, well away from the Reproducible Builds variations &
infrastructure so this is somewhat misleading.

Ahh, yes. I'm building under docker where — for some reason — it hijacks
/etc/localtime, making them read-only and causing weird timezone issues. :/
