Hi,

Unfortunately it turned out that the recent openjdk FTBFS issues on mips
were not random and were a combination of using a recent kernel (linux
>= 4.1), java being compiled with -fPIE, and a bug in make. Therefore
this has to be fixed before stretch is released.

See #853213 for more info.

I am hoping the bug can be fixed in make and no changes will be needed
in openjdk-8. However, as a workaround it should be possible to fix this
by setting a hard limit on the stack size (ulimit -H -s).

Thanks,
James

This is fixed now that make 4.1-9.1 has been uploaded and unblocked.

Thanks,
James
