Therefore this has to be fixed before stretch is released. See #853213 for more info. I am hoping the bug can be fixed in make and no changes will be needed in openjdk-8. However, as a workaround it should be possible to fix this by setting a hard limit on the stack size (ulimit -H -s). Thanks, James
