Hi,

I don't know really what is going on, but the symptom is:

dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten des Paketes dma (--configure):
Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert
128 zurück

So the postinst script is failing with code 128. I added "set -x" to it
and the result was:

$ LC_ALL=C sudo dpkg --configure dma
Setting up dma (0.11-1+b1) ...
+ dpkg-maintscript-helper rm_conffile /etc/dma/dma.conf
0.0.2010.06.17-14.1~ dma -- configure 0.11-1
+ . /usr/share/debconf/confmodule
+ [ ! ]
+ PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1
+ export PERL_DL_NONLAZY
+ [ ]
+ exec /usr/share/debconf/frontend /var/lib/dpkg/info/dma.postinst
configure 0.11-1
dpkg: error processing package dma (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
status 128
Errors were encountered while processing:
 dma

Next Google gave me DEBCONF_DEBUG=developer as an environment var:

$ sudo sh -c 'DEBCONF_DEBUG=developer LC_ALL=C dpkg --configure dma'
Setting up dma (0.11-1+b1) ...
+ dpkg-maintscript-helper rm_conffile /etc/dma/dma.conf
0.0.2010.06.17-14.1~ dma -- configure 0.11-1
+ . /usr/share/debconf/confmodule
+ [ ! ]
+ PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1
+ export PERL_DL_NONLAZY
+ [ ]
+ exec /usr/share/debconf/frontend /var/lib/dpkg/info/dma.postinst
configure 0.11-1
debconf (developer): frontend started

debconf (developer): starting /var/lib/dpkg/info/dma.config configure 0.11-1

debconf (developer): <-- STOP
dpkg: error processing package dma (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit
status 128
Errors were encountered while processing:

At this point I am a bit lost. I don't know what more information to
provide.

I hope this already helps.

Cheers,
Uli
