There are two problems and the first have a proposed patch. It seems to be working, but the 'testMergeFrom' Python 3 check seem to still fail sometimes, sometimes working at least on armel. I'll post more as I know more details.
May you have a local ppc64el machine? What happens if you try the build say three - four times? Thanks, Laszlo/GCS
