It was hinted on IRC, that this build failure is triggered on AWS as /etc/hosts is configured differently there. A standard Debian setup has 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 <hostname> whereas AWS uses 127.0.0.1 <hostname> localhost -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
