Since them many things have happened: - The source code repository was moved to GitHub in October 2013: https://github.com/projectestac/jclic - Many bugs have been fixed and new features added since 2010. See ChangeLog and CHANGES.md for details. - A PPA repository has been created in Launchpad, with updated packages: https://launchpad.net/~jclic/+archive/ubuntu/master - A full packaging recipe proposal is available at: https://github.com/projectestac/jclic/tree/master/dist/linux This recipe has a set of updated "man" files, icons, launchers... and organizes the software in two packages: "jclic" (player and authoring tool) and "jclic-reports" (reports database, used in school servers). The recipe has been checked with Lintian without any error or warning. - The domain for the main site of JClic is now "https://clic.xtec.cat" (site available in Catalan, English and Spanish). The old domain "clic.xtec.net" (referred as "homepage" in the current Debian package information page) is no longer available. - A new HTML5 player of JClic activities (JClic.js) has been developed in JavaScript, making now possible to use the activities in any device without the need of Java plugins. See: https://projectestac.github.io/jclic.js https://clic.xtec.cat/repo (library with more than 2.000 projects created by teachers from different countries, now available in HTML5) This new project is not distributed with JClic, but the new version of the authoring tool (JClic Author) allows exporting activities to HTML5 and SCORM, thus allowing teachers to publish their own activities in this new format on any web site or blog. - There is also an updated version of the JClic module for Moodle that makes use of the HTML5 packages generated by this new version of JClic Author: https://moodle.org/plugins/mod_jclic So, please, the update of the "jclic" package is needed in order to allow activity authors (mainly teachers) to export their projects to the new HTML5 format. I'm the main developer of both JClic and JClic.js projects, so please contact me if you need any type of help or information. I'm not a Debian packager, but I can apply for this role if needed. This report was already sent to jc...@packages.debian.org on 18 October, with no response.
