Alioth provides CVS and SVN natively (through http://svn.debian.org/), I don't know if they have anything else, but most of the newer projects seem to be using svn.debian.org nowadays! If D-I does it I suppose we can too!) ;) (Especially if one day we are going to try to integrate somehow with them to have xen installed from d-i, which would be really nice!) Anyway, yeah, I think the debian directory should be fine!
